A lot of artist and fans get caught up in the “This is real hip-hop!” I want to know what that TRULY means. I believe that some people are disqualifying certain songs and artist because of where they are from or what they are rapping about. There are also people who dissect Rap and Hip-Hop incorrectly. The essence is real hip hop is authentic lyrical content. The message and influence stemming from life in the eyes of the artist. Real Hip Hop is sticking to the art form

Yes and No.
Yes for the fact that it is the industry’s sole goals is to bring in the highest number.
No because it it still the outlet of creative expression and lyricism is still used by some of the vets in the game.
